Formally called the Hiltop Course, Poppy Hills underwent an extensive renovation beginning in March of 2013 centered around water conservation, primarily by improving irrigation and drainage. Jones returned to Poppy Hills with his Robert Trent Jones II design firm, this time creating a firm, fast and fun course that unfolds seamlessly through the stunning Del Monte Forest.

Jones reinvented the course architecturally, restoring each hole to its natural elevation along the forest floor, softening doglegs and contours, rebuilding all 18 greens with bentgrass, eliminating rough and introducing native waste areas that reduce irrigated turf by nearly 25%.

The new Poppy Hills reopened April 4, 2014.

Our 6th tournament of the new season brings you to Poppy Hills Golf Course located in Pebble Beach CA, your first stop in golf’s greatest zip code for this Car-Pool venue. Player registration includes Golf, a single-rider Cart, and Range Balls. Outside of April sobriety birthdays, tee times will be randomly selected prior to the tournament. THIS IS A CAR-POOL EVENT, SO MAKE SURE YOU CHOOSE YOUR PLAYING PARTNER OR YOU WILL BE RANDOMLY PAIRED FOR YOUR TEE TIME. The first group will be going out at 8:00 am.  Sobriety birthday groups first out. The standard format for monthly tournament play. Prizes are awarded for winner and runner up in flights A, B, and C. Prizes will be given for closest to the pins on the par threes and the longest drive.    This is a Carpool event.
